CASA Fall Family Run

IMPORTANT: The event location has been moved to Viento State Park (Exit 56). While Oregon State Parks have made every effort to reopen our original location by October 5th, they are unable to guarantee that it will be open. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to an enjoyable gathering at Viento State Park.

Join us on October 5th as we come together as a community to support Columbia Gorge CASA's mission to advocate for the children of our community! Lace up your sneakers and rally your loved ones for a morning of fun and wellness. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience for all ages. Register today to make a difference in the lives of children and families in the Columbia Gorge community. Let's run/walk together for a brighter future!

The 5K race will start at 9AM at the Viento State Park  which will be professionally timed by e8 Timing. The 1 mile jog/walk will immediately follow which will not be chip timed. Registration is FREE for those under the age of 18. Participants must have registered by Sept. 22nd to be guaranteed a commemorative race t-shirt. Parking is limited so we encourage you to carpool with friends and family.

October 4th: 

4-6 PM Packet Pickup @ Columbia Gorge CASA (1308 12th Street in Hood River) 

October 5th:

8:00 AM - Registration and Race Bib & Bag Pickup
8:40 AM - Event Announcements
8:45 AM - Warm-Up Session led by Studio Fit
9:00 AM - 5K Race Begins, with a 1-Mile Walk Immediately Following
10:00 AM - Awards Ceremony: Top 3 Male and Female Finishers Recognized (Some of the prizes we have to give out are from Doug's Hood River, Studio Fit, and Farm Stand.)

McDonald’s of the Gorge will be offering tasty breakfast burritos, refreshing orange juice, and hot coffee to kickstart your day! JDRE will also have set up a water station along the race route for your refreshment. While water will be provided, we encourage you to bring your own bottle to help reduce waste. Plus, all participants will receive complimentary race bags filled with water bottles and other delightful treats from our generous supporters.

 
PARKING INFORMATION - PLEASE CARPOOL! 
We’re excited to host our race at Viento State Park! With over 100 participants, parking will be tight. We strongly encourage everyone to arrive early and carpool with friends and family. There is a $5 day-use fee at the park, or you can use an Oregon State Parks annual pass. Parking is available on the north side of the park.
 
CASA FALL FAMILY RUN RACE SHIRTS 
We’re excited to offer race shirts, featuring a unique design that showcases all our sponsors, for everyone who registered by September 22nd. For those who register after that date, shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that shirts will likely not be available for those who register on the day of the race.
