In the event of major thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and/or high winds, please take all precautions to ensure your safety. This may include going into the lodge during severe weather threats. Please do not endanger your personal safety. Whether or not the clock is still running, your life and those of your family/crew/pacers, is far more important. Depending on circumstances, we may order all volunteers/runners to seek shelter. If so, please be understanding/cooperative as it is for your own safety. Plus we hate getting the body bags out, notifying the next of kin, and doing the paperwork. Our insurance tends to frown on it too. ;-)
