Mon October 5 - Sun October 11 Choose Your Location (Virtual Race), PA 00000 US

Bimbo Bakeries is proud to host its 6th annual Global Energy Race however this year we will be hosting our race virtually! The Global Energy Race was born from a dream to unite thousands of people around the world for a good cause. Throughout the years we’ve been present in 23 countries bringing our communities together and we will continue to be unified, especially during these times. On Monday, October 5th we will be kicking off our virtual race series allowing all past participants from the 35 previous host cities along with new participants in any city around the world to join together to set Global Energy in motion.

About Global Energy

Global Energy Race is for everyone: competitive runners, casual walkers, families, friends, and everyday joggers looking to come out and participate in Bimbo's healthy, active lifestyle initiative. It is truly a global event; In 2016, Global Energy Race broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the most 10K races held simultaneously worldwide on the same day. Amidst this pandemic, we are still continuing to support our goal and plan to do so across the U.S. virtually.

In addition to this Global happening, Bimbo Bakeries is proud to partner with Feeding America to giveback during these times of need. Every step helps feed someone in need.

So let's join together and be part of this unique event that's More than a Race.

How It Works

It's simple. Below are a few easy steps to get yourself signed up and part of this Global movement:

  1. Select your distance (10K or 5K)

  2. Register (before October 5th) for your distance using the Sign Up button at the top of the page and receive a digital runners bib to use on race day

  3. Get out there and train before your race

  4. During race week, pick a day you'll participate in the run between October 5th-11th

  5. On race day, track your run using a running app as you complete your 10K (6.2 miles) or 5K (3.1 miles)

  6. Upload your completed race to our results page via online submission or via email by October 11th (11:59pmPST).

  7. Congrats, you're part of the movement! Download your finishers certificate after result submission has been validated and wait to receive your participant pack & medal (in 30 days) post-race.

Anywhere! The great thing about a virtual race is you can run wherever you like. Outside on a trail or inside on a treadmill, the course you choose is up to you.

Our virtual race week is from October 5th-October 11th. Select one day during the race week to complete your registered distance (10K or 5K) and upload your recorded time/distance to our results page. As a reminder, you must submit your completed race results (by October 11th, 11:59pmPST) in order to receive your participant pack & medal via USPS within 30 days (of validation). Registration closed a midnight on October 4th so please ensure you're registered before then to participate.

What You Get

All virtual race finishers will receive a participant pack that includes a Global Energy 2020 tote bag, pair of runners sleeves, finishers medal and a finishers certificate for download immediately after the race. Check out the participant swag page for a sneak peak at these amazing items.
