Description
The Jim Ryun Prediction Mile will be held under the lights on the track at Elizabethtown Area High School, with three-time Olympian Jim Ryun on hand as a celebrity host.
Unlike other 1-mile races, the fastest runner won’t necessarily win the Jim Ryun Prediction mile. When registering, runners will predict their mile time down to one-tenth of a second (for example 7:15.7). The predicted time cannot be slower than 10 minutes. The runner finishing closest to his or her predicted time, without going over, will win. The field is limited to 100 runners and will be divided into four sections. The top 5 predictors overall will get a personally autographed copy of Jim Ryun's book "The Courage to Run." A number of door prizes will be awarded! Runners registered by Nov. 1 are guaranteed to receive a unique, limited edition Jim Ryun Prediction Mile t-shirt in their size.
There will be no refunds. The race will be held regardless of the weather. Registration is limited to 100 runners.
