Fifth Street Rock Monster: The Technical Tango

Welcome to the Fifth Street Rock Monster (formerly known as Rockland Rad Run, before the lawyers got involved). We’re throwing a spring awakening at Forever Farm—a slice of private singletrack heaven normally guarded by gates and "No Trespassing" signs. This is the only weekend of the year you’re allowed on these trails without a court date.

It’s technical, it’s rugged, and nature will likely try to trip you. But hey, we’ll have a beer waiting at the end. 🤘

The Details (Pay Attention)

• The Vibe: High-energy singletrack, questionable jokes, fly tunes, and fresh food.
• The Course: We fixed it. In previous years, the "figure 8" layout confused people enough that they ended up in the next county. We’ve switched to continuous loops. It’s simpler, but no less painful.
• The Distances: Choose your struggle: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, or the Full Marathon. * The "Two-Headed" Relay: A super-unique team format. Teams of three, but two runners must be on course at the same time. It makes absolutely no sense until you’re doing it.

Schedule & Saturday Scouting

We aren't just a Sunday race; we’re a weekend-long bad influence.

• Saturday, April 11: The Rock Monster MTB races take over from 9am–3pm. Come out, heckle the cyclists, scout your lines for Sunday, and enjoy the party.
• Camping: FREE camping at Forever Farm on Saturday night. If you can survive the pre-race campfire "hydration," you’re golden.
• Sunday, April 12 (Race Day):
  • Check-in Opens: 8:00 AM
  • Racing Starts: 9:00 AM
  • After Party: Starts when the first person finishes and ends when we run out of fuel (or beer).

 
Registration & The "Fine Print"

• Pricing: Based on field size. The longer you wait, the more you pay for the same amount of dirt. Sign up early.
• Day-of Registration: Available for a +$20 "Procrastination Tax." We take Venmo, Credit, or Cash.
• Juniors (16 & Under): 50% discount automatically applied at checkout. If it doesn't work, don't scream at the internet—just email us.
• Waiver Requirement: Per our insurance policy, every participant MUST sign a waiver. No signature, no "Monster." 

 
Amenities (Don't Be Gross)

• Porta Potties: Available at the parking area and finish line. There are no "public relief zones" on private property. Keep it in your shorts or in the plastic box.
• Food: Runners get a free meal and a drink. We’ll be grilling. Vegans: We see you. Bring your own protein/mock-meats and we will happily throw them on the grill for you.
• Hydration: Fully stocked aid stations and supplementary water are on course.
• Beer: A cooler of local gold will be available for 21+ participants (included for runners). Spectators can buy a brew for $5.

Prizes & Glory

• Overall: Top 3 M/F in each solo distance get something shiny to put on a shelf.
• Relay Cash: We’re paying out the top three overall teams: $250 / $150 / $75.
• Finisher Award: Everyone who survives gets a commemorative FSX Rock Monster Coaster. Your coffee table will thank you.
