THE 8TH ANNUAL PHILLY 10K

The Philly 10K was founded by passion for our city and built for a community of runners that are among the closest knit in the country.

We are psyched to be back in person for our eighth year!

Put on by a group of proud and dedicated Philadelphians since 2014, we celebrate the history, diversity, and unique neighborhood fabric that makes each of us proud to call this city home.

Registration includes:

  • Soft Diadora race shirt
  • A cold beer
  • Local food option at the post-race party
  • A locally-produced finisher's keepsake
  • The ability to run care-free past as many red lights as you want through the core of the 5th largest city in the country.

*Race capacity capped at 3,000 runners*

Place
START
800 South Street
Philadelphia, PA US 19147
Important Info:

- Make registration as smooth as possible by creating your profile on RunSignUp prior to registration day.
- The week’s festivities begin at the Diadora Kickoff Party at the brand new Philadelphia Runner (1711 Walnut Street) in the heart of Center City. Runners will pick up their race bib and shirt and check out the official 2021 race merchandise. All runners must come to Philadelphia Runner to get their bib Monday, August 23rd - Saturday, August 28th from 12PM-6PM.  There is NO race day bib pick-up.

- IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE: Per city regulations, all runners must show proof of vaccine or a 72 hour negative COVID test in order to run. Please bring a copy (photo is fine) of your Vaccine Card or negative test result to receive your bib. Runners using a negative test result must have the test Thursday or later in order to be within 72 hours of race day. You may pick up for other people but must show a copy of their COVID test or proof of vaccination.

- All runners must be able to maintain a 15 minute per mile pace and all course roads will reopen to traffic following this schedule.
- Registration is nonrefundable but if you need to, you can transfer by July 31st!
- Plan ample time to get to the race. Parking will be virtually nonexistent in the immediate area around the start and finish and getting to the start line takes longer than a typical race. We start at 7:30AM sharp.

Description

The Philly 10K was simply an idea backed by passion and creativity. Today, thanks to the support of the strongest running community in the country, The Philly 10K has become a race that is both iconic but still intimate and local.

The race is a 6.2 mile slice of authentic South Philly and Center City, passing through some of Philadelphia’s most vibrant corridors along with 76 city blocks that most of us have walked, shopped, biked, BBQ’d on, or called home.

Put on by a group of proud and dedicated Philadelphians since 2014, we celebrate the history, diversity, and unique neighborhood fabric that makes each of us proud to call this city home.

We run Philly, because we love Philly.

IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE: Per city regulations, all runners must show proof of vaccine or a 72 hour negative COVID test in order to run. Please bring a copy (photo is fine) of your Vaccine Card or negative test result to receive your bib. Runners using a negative test result must have the test Thursday or later in order to be within 72 hours of race day.

Shirt Sizing (PLEASE READ!)

We use a soft lifestyle shirt for our race shirt. They are super comfortable and look great BUT...

The womens cut of this shirt runs very small. If you are used to a fitted womens cut, we recommend you still size up one size. If you prefer a more generic/loose fit, we recommend you size up two sizes or select a mens cut size based on preference.

The mens cut version of this shirt runs almost true to size but still runs just a tad small. If you are typically on the fence between two sizes, we recommend you size up one size.
