You may be asking yourself, what happened to the duathlon in Wyomissing?!? Well...we're still offering a duathlon, but due to planned construction, we're moving our race to the runway! And since we have to change locations, we thought, why not change up the race too! Here's what's happening at the IM ABLE Games...

2-Mile Fun Run, Walk, or Roll  

This family-friendly event is, you guessed it, 2 miles! It’s not competitive or timed, so don’t stress. Grab your BFF’s and join IM ABLE for a leisurely walk for a good cause. Not enough incentive for you? Then how ‘bout some beer and BBQ afterwards?!?

The course begins on the airport tarmac, then travels out to traffic-controlled paved roads outside of the airport, finishing back on the tarmac in front of legions of spectators and fans. Carpe diem.

*T-shirt is not included in the 2-mile Fun Run registration fee. Participants have the option to add a shirt to their registration for $15. No awards for the Fun Run.

Sprint Duathlon 

This very special duathlon brought to you by IM ABLE is somewhere between a super sprint and sprint distance, but there’s not really a name for that, so Sprint it is! Participants will run 2 miles, bike 8 miles, and then run 2 miles again.

The course begins on the airport tarmac, then travels out to traffic-controlled paved roads outside of the airport and finishes back on the tarmac in front of a roaring crowd of your adoring fans. Sweet, sweet success!

The Kaaginator Challenge 

Inspired by IM ABLE Founder, Marine - and kick-ass trainer - Chris Kaag, the Kaaginator Challenge is an obstacle course featuring a variety of top-secret challenges on Reading Airport's tarmac. The Kaaginator is for athletes of ALL levels and abilities. Divisions include the og Kaaginator Challenge (regular age groupers), the Kaaginator Junior, Kaaginator Masters, and Kaaginator Adaptive. Courses will vary in length and intensity according to the division you’re in. Come prepared for anything!

But what is it exactly? We can’t really tell you. It’s kind of like a fun – and less intense - mashup of CrossFit Games and Spartan, but there are no points to be had and no mud to drag yourself through, so leave your medieval body armor at home, and if you’re an RX+’r, then maybe the wing-eating competition is for you. Does that mean it’ll be easy? Ooh rah!

Klingers Wingers – Wing Eating Competition 

Fitness not your thing? Didn't crush the Kaaginator? Then this, my friend, is the event for you. It may not be a physical challenge per se, but it’s a challenge nonetheless! Thanks to Klingers at the Airport, participants get to compete in a post-race activity like no other. Cash prize for the participant who can gobble up wings the fastest!  Victory never tasted so good.

Trifecta 

Can't decide which event to sign up for, or miss the challenge of the Olympic duathlon? Then the Trifecta is for you! We’re sure you’re wondering…is it like Spartan Trifecta?? We'll give you a hint...our Trifecta does indeed include 3 events, but it also costs about $300 less. The IM ABLE Trifecta is the best bang for your buck.

You’ll compete in the Sprint Duathlon, Kaaginator Challenge, and Klingers Wingers Competition. This could be your crowning glory, your epic win, the feather in your cap, your badge of honor…You will achieve legendary status and your accomplishment will be applauded by all. Relish the moment.

Party at the Airport!

Experience one of the coolest parties around, surrounded by vintage planes at the airport! Enjoy live music, delicious brews, and mouth-watering BBQ as you compete or cheer on participants. It's the perfect blend of entertainment and excitement!
