Crowns for Kids 5k

On Saturday, October 14th at 9:00am in Nay Aug Park in Scranton, PA, Alissa Alexander (Miss Pocono's Outstanding Teen), will be hosting the Inaugural Crowns for Kids 5K Run/Walk to raise funds for the Greater Hazleton  Organization.  This organization changed her life by helping her build the confidence needed to deal with daily body shaming and bullying she faces everyday at school.  Alissa's goal is to promote confidence and healthy thinking in young people.  Proceeds from the race will support a scholarship for other young girls like herself through the Scholarship Organization.  

Date: Saturday, October 14th

Location: Nay Aug Park, 500 Arthur Ave, Scranton, PA 18510

Day of Registration: Located at the Everhart Pavillion, from 7:30am-8:45am.  

Cost: 5k - $20 pre-registration (ending October 11th); $25 day of race registration.  Kids 1/4 Mile Fun Run - $10 pre-registration (ending October 11th); $12 day of race registration. *Tshirts are not guaranteed for day of registrants.

Awards: 

5k Run 

• The Top Overall Male & Female Finishers will receive a $50.00 gift card to Scranton Running Co. and an additional prize to be announced at the race.

5k Run Age Groups

• 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each age group (male and female) receive an award.
• 0-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

5k Walk

• 1st, 2nd & 3rd Overall Walkers will receive a ribbon.

***All registrants receive 1 free raffle ticket***

Kids 1/4 Mile Fun Run

• Prizes to all finishers 10 & Under
