Welcome to the Assumption Academy 5K and Family Fun Stroll!!

We are excited to bring the tradition back! Our goal is to bring the school family (past and present), local businesses and the community together for a morning of exercise and fun! For the Sunday football fans, the Eagles are on a bye week!

Awards: 5k top finishers, top fundraising teams, classroom participation and many other fun awards for participants!

Race Amenities: Scenic course through Wilson Farm Park, race t-shirt, refreshments, water stations, race prizes for 5K, race prizes for Family Fun Stroll

Race Results: Race will be professionally timed by the Bryn Mawr Racing Co.; Results will be found at http://www.brynmawrracing.com

The Goal: $10,000!  This year, we are asking the community to partner with us to increase our scholarship fund for families in need, as well as build out the general fund for ongoing improvements to the school for our children.

About Us: Assumption Academy is a small, non-profit Preschool and Kindergarten affiliated with Our Lady of Assumption Church located in Strafford, PA. We have been serving the needs of families with young children for 38 years and offer excellent learning programs for kids aged two to six years old. We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Our school is where children come to learn and grow in a safe atmosphere that’s rich in cultural diversity. Our curriculum is structured to maximize every child’s individual experience with us, no matter how old they are. We offer music classes and STREAM sessions. Our innovative approach to learning includes a full outdoor classroom, giving students the opportunity to learn while surrounded by nature. Overall, we believe that play based early childhood education provides positive, lasting benefits for the youngest of minds.
