COVID 19 Mile Social Distance Run

Was your early Spring race cancelled too?  Wash your hands and join us for the COVID 19 Mile Social Distance Run.   Run 19 miles on a treadmill at home or as far away from any other people as possible and send in your time to covid19miler@gmail.com

Rules: 

• Run/walk/crawl 19 miles
• Must be completed within a continuous 24 hour period
• Must be completed before 11:59:59pm EDT on March 31, 2020
• This is to be done alone
• Cough into your elbow
• Honor system is in effect.  If you are mature enough to handle working from home, you can handle this.

IMPORTANT:  Please respect all relevant guidance, regulations and ordinances of local authorities related to your course selection (trail closures, etc).  The most important thing is that everyone stay safe and healthy.

Fun swag will be sent to the first 500 entrants (US only).  Prizes for the winners.  Details will be communicated via email to registered participants.

[UPDATE 3/16] - We are already way over 500 entries at this point!  Please feel free to register, but be aware that the race swag is as scarce as toilet paper and hand sanitizer. 

[UPDATE 3/18] - As of today, we have almost 1,300 runners from 49 US states and 8 countries!  Get those miles done and keep those results coming in!  You guys are awesome!  Tell your friends to wash their hands and join us... but not too close.

[UPDATE 3/26] - When I set this up, I thought it was just going to be me and maybe a couple of guys from work.  As of today, we have well over 1,500 people signed up and hundreds who have already completed the challenge!!  Get those miles done!! Get those results in!!  Tell your friends... registration closes in a couple of days!
