Registration and Packet Pickup
Yes! We ask that you come prepared with a copy of their ID (a photo of it on your phone is adequate).
We encourage packet pickup on Wednesday, November 26th from 3 pm until 6 pm. Race Day packet pickup is also available beginning at 7:30 am until 8:30 am . Both packet pickup options take place inside the Banquet Room at the Pelican Lakes in Water Valley, on the second floor between The Lodge Restaurant and the pro shop. The address is 1600 Pelican Lakes Point, Windsor CO 80550.
Yes! Online registration remains open until 9 am on race day altough our inventory of available shirts may run low or even run out so we encourage registration as soon as possible. Please register on your computer or on your phone, even on race day. Once registered, visit our packet pickup tables to collect your race bib.
No, we do not offer a finisher medal for the turkey trot. Runners who pay for the 5k do get a shirt at packet-pickup. We also offer gift cards and homemade locally baked goods for top overall and age group finishers in the Run division only.
Yes! Both the Run and Walk distances are chip timed, with results published on race day for both divisions. You must wear the race bib assigned to you for accurate timing. Wear your race bib on the front of your shirt and on the outside of your clothing for accuracy. While both races are timed, awards are only given for the Run division.
Yes, you can change distances. Let the race director know when you grab your packet or message us directly before the race and we can get it switched!
We do not offer refunds, however we can differ your registration for the same race the following year.
Course Details
Yes! Dogs are allowed on the race course. Please be mindful of the large crowds and start towards the middle or the back of the race to eliminate any possbile tripping. Please also clean up after your dog.
Yes, restrooms are located inside the Banquet Room, and portable restrooms are located near the start/finish line as well as one portable toilet on the course at the Aid Station. There are ADA restrooms available at the start/finish line as well.
No, we keep the finish line open as long as it takes for us to see the last finisher. The Aid Station and Traffic Control, however, will only be present for an hour and a half.
Yes, headphones are permitted on the race course although participants are encourage to only use one ear bud and keep volumes at a low level to hear traffic, directions of traffic control and general surroundings.
The start and finish line share the same location, under the large arch in the parking lot of the Pelican Lakes Golf Course at 1600 Pelican Lakes Point in Windsor, CO 80550.
Parking is available at 1600 Pelican Lakes Point however this parking lot will become full. Overflow parking will be available along Water Valley Parkway, at The Island at Pelican Lakes at 556 Baja Drive which requires a .5 mile walk along the golf course to get to the start line, or in the business parking lots at Eastman Park Drive and Water Valley Parkway.
Yes, we will have one water station at the mid-way point on the course which will also feature HOIST electrolytes and a portable restroom.
No roads will be closed for this event.
Post Race
Water and water cups will be available at the Finish Line. Inside the banquet room participants will enjoy light breakfast snacks and fruit, coffee, hot chocolate, beer, seltzers, beermosas, non-alcoholic beer and selzters and water.
All photos will be uplaoded to the race website.
Awards will take place at 10:30 am inside the Banquet room and will include local gift cards as well as pastries for top finishers overall and in 10 year age groups for the run division only.
To become a vendor you will have to submit a vendor form which will have a link on the race website under the "Get Involved" tab on the top.
