Schmidt Community Center
The City of Lansing Kids Run Club will take place at Schmidt Community Center (5825 Wise Rd, Lansing, MI 48911) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm-6:00pm.
Playmakers is partnering with City of Lansing Parks & Recreation for the first time to provide a unique fitness opportunity for children in 3rd-6th grades. Running Club participants receive Good Form Running coaching from certified Playmakers staff during eight training sessions and concludes with a Fun Run Finale! Our goal is to promote fun, healthy, active lifestyles and help children get in shape for other sporting activities.
At each session, participants will learn proper dynamic warm-up techniques, Good Form Running practices, and play a fun game! Mileage will start low and gradually increase to a goal of 3 kilometers (1.85 miles) at the end of the program.
