Hello Valued Community Member,
The Rock County Cancer Coalition (RCCC) is a local organization founded 11 years ago by a group of friends watching their friend struggle with grueling cancer treatments, while still caring for the daily needs of her family. The lack of financial resources available in the community led them to create the RCCC with the mission of financially helping those fighting cancer in Rock County.
You probably know someone who has been affected by cancer. The Rock County Cancer Coalition is the only local resource that offers financial assistance to those fighting cancer. Won’t you consider honoring someone you know that is/has been affected by cancer by helping someone in our community who needs our help.
In 2023, we launched our first Cancer Walk Presented by Mercy health and raised over $100,000 with, as always, 100% staying in Rock County!
Here we are in year two and our need is even greater. Client needs have increased over 22% and as our biggest fundraiser, it’s imperative that we increase our 2024 goal to $125,000.
To reach that goal, we will hold our 2nd Annual “Cancer HONOR Walk Presented by Mercyhealth” fundraising event on June 1st, 2024. Participants and guests will enjoy family-friendly activities, food and refreshments, while teams walk the path to honor those still fighting and remember those we have lost.
Funds will be raised through corporate sponsors, team registration/pledges and raffles.
We extend this invitation to you to partner with us in a significant role as one of our premier sponsors. Please consider teaming with RCCC to help ease the burden for cancer warriors in your community.
Since 2011, the RCCC has provided more than $1.7 million in assistance to over 1,600 cancer patients in Rock County. We have been able to extend our programs to offer emotional support for not only cancer survivors, but also cancer caregivers through our support groups.
