Team Leader Job Description
A Cancer Walk Team Leader supports the Rock County Cancer Coalition by leading a team in the Cancer Walk Event with hopes of raising a minimum of $1,300 per team for the Walk.
Team Leader Tasks
- A Team Leader agrees to serve in the following capacities:
- Recruit a team of 2-15 members.
- Set a fundraising goal for your team. (The minimum fundraising goal is $1,300 per team. This is the grant amount that RCCC gives to each grant recipients)
Team Leader Optional Tasks
- Bring a 10x10 tent to the event for your team to have a home base.
- Encourage your team to:
- Decorate your tent and coordinate event day costumes
- Create a team shirt or purchase the Cancer Walk event shirt.
PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED TO THE BEST DECORATED TENTS AND TEAM COSTUMES!
- Recognize cancer survivors and fighters on your team and participate in the survivorship and fighter celebrations at the event.
- Distribute fundraising tools to your team members
- Coach and motivate your team to success using email, phone calls, Facebook, etc.
- Coordinate creative fundraisers to help your team raise money.
- Attend the RCCC Team Leader meetings for the Walk. A virtual option will be available for these meetings.
- Congratulate your team members for their commitment to the fight against cancer.
