The Flynn's Flyers 5k

The Flynn's Flyers 5k road race will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024 in Central Falls Rhode Island.  The Central Falls School District sponsored event is in memory of our long time colleague, friend, coach, and educator Ms. Kelly Flynn who suddenly passed away in the spring of 2023.  Lets run together to honor the legacy of Kelly.  All funds raised at this event will go towards the Girls on the Run CFSD afterschool program.  Fly high, Ms. Flynn and good luck to all the runners involved.  The race will start promptly at 9:00am.  Runners may start the check-in process at the starting line as early as 8:00a. The race will start and end at The River Island Park and Campground in Central Falls with parking located a short distance from the starting line. The 3.1 mile race loop is mixed terrain and includes pavement, grass, and dirt trail.  The race will take runners and walkers throughout the loop a few times.  We encourage both runners and walkers to register for the event.  Due to safety issues and the course design, dogs and baby carriages are not allowed. All participants will receive a t-shirt and race medal.  At the conclusion of the race, there will be light refreshments for runners.  We encourage family and friends to cheer runners on throughout the course.  This is a rain or shine event.
