Fundraising Mechanisms
This event is a fundraiser first and foremost. There are 4 ways you can drive fundraising for the event:
- Direct donations
- Patch Campaign
- Sponsorships
- Expanding the field
Direct Donations
These donations can be processed via your individual or your team's fundraiser page. You can also accept offline donations via cash/check, and we can add them to your fundraising pages manually. Consider making QR Codes that link to your fundraiser pages and putting them on your packs, business cards, etc!
Patch Campaign
The patch campaign is an excellent opportunity to generate some higher-dollar donations while also acknowledging the donors on a patch wall poster displayed at the finish line.
For convenience, you can use http://heroesintransition.org/ruckpatch to link people to the patch campaign.
The sponsorship team has created a great flyer you can print and hand out, which can be found here.
Sponsorships
This year, sponsorships will be coordinated by Meghan Keller and Craig Frand, who can be reached at rucksponsors@heroesintransition.org.
This year's sponsorship flyer can be found here.
If you have a sponsor ready to sign up, you can use http://heroesintransition.org/ruck-sponsor-invite to link people to the sponsorship invite page.
Expanding the field
The more teams and participants we have, the more fundraising we can generate. Spreading awareness of the event will help organize the field and increase overall fundraising!
