TShawStrong's mission is straightforward: to raise as much support as possible for those living with ALS, just as Tim has since his own diagnosis in 2014. Through his nonprofit, TShawStrong, Inc., Tim continues to fund critical resources for ALS patients and contribute to the search for a cure.
Tim’s story is one of perseverance in the face of great adversity, and it’s a story he continues to write every day. Though he’s no longer able to do many of the things he once could, Tim embraces each day as a new opportunity to have a positive impact on the world. He continues to inspire in countless ways, from the Tim Shaw Thrive Award Penn State football awards to players who overcome challenges and adversity and inspire those around them to the TShawStrong Golf Invitational, which has raised nearly $200,000 since its inception in 2016.
The Sandra West ALS Foundation is dedicated to fostering hope and resilience by providing college scholarships to empower the bright futures of deserving students, whose lives have been touched by ALS, ensuring that the pursuit of education transcends the challenges posed by this formidable disease. "ALS can take away a family's ability to provide the things that so many of us take for granted - a child's college education should not be one of those things".
