I know that running/walking a race is a potentially hazardous activity and that it's possible I could have a serious or even fatal injury during the Issaquah Turkey Trot. I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the event. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with other participants, any actions by other participants, volunteers or spectators, the effects of weather, traffic and the conditions of the course, and the risk of serious personal injury or even death, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Bikes are permitted by participants under 8 and younger but must start the course after all the participants have left.
Having read this waiver, knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Issaquah Turkey Trot, Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank, City of Issaquah, Run for Good Racing LLC, event organizers, race officials, all sponsors, volunteers, and their employees, representatives and successors (collectively the "Organizers") from all claims and liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that liability may arise out of the negligence or carelessness on the part of the Organizers. I grant permission to the Organizers to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings and other record of this event for any lawful purpose.
I acknowledge the highly contagious nature of COVID-19 and I agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)'s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest to having read the CDC’s guidance at: https://www.cdc.gov. I hereby release and waive my right to sue the Organizers for any and all liabilities, claims, lawsuits, damages, losses, costs, and/or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating to COVID-19 or participation in the Issaquah Turkey Trot.
