26th Annual Remembrance Walk Event Guide
Thank you for participating! It is our privilege to provide you with an opportunity to honor the legacy of a loved one who has passed away.
Each step is a step towards hope. Together Hope Grows!
In-person details:
Saturday, June 3, 2023 1229 Millwork Ave Omaha NE 68102 10am-2pm
**Remembrance photos must be received by midnight on May 21, 2023 to be included in the Remembrance Banner, receive Photo Buttons. Registrants after May 21, 2023 may be able to purchase a tshirt on race day from limited quantities but will not be able to submit Remembrance photos.**

Schedule of the Event: Check-in will open at 10AM. There is no official group start to the walk this year to help with crowd control and to create a safe, comfortable environment for all. Your memorial walk is at your schedule and leisure. The event will end promptly at 2pm.
10:00 AM | Registration & Vendors Open
Spend time visiting our informational partner vendors, shop from several local makers and shops, grab a bite from food trucks or neighborhood businesses, play yard games, and enjoy time together remembering your loved one with friends and family. Take a lap around our Walking Path whenever you choose!
12:00 PM | Remarks, Awards & Thank You
Join us in the park at noon for remarks from The Collective for Hope, a thank you to the partners who made the day possible, presentation of award for the largest team and a moment to remember all of our loved ones together.
12:30 PM | Honorary Memorial Lap
Walk with us as we take a single lap in unison for all those we are remembering.
2:00 PM | Event End
You are welcome to continue to enjoy the park, neighborhood amenities and businesses (Coneflower Creamery, Clean Slate Food Co, Kros Strain Brewing will all remain open following the event) but our vendors and yard games will get packed up at this time.
How to Find Us & Parking: Put either 1229 Millwork Ave Omaha NE 68102 into your GPS. We will have visible pop-up tents around the park. Street parking is available all around the park or you are welcome to park in the lot North of the park on 13th Street across from the Mastercraft Building.
Social Media Interaction: Please share photos and videos of you and your team remembering together. Tag us on social media. Please make your post “public” so we can interact with you online. Especially for those doing the virtual option. Facebook:@griefsjourneyomaha, Instagram:@thecollectiveforhope
In Case of Severe Weather: The Remembrance Walk is a “rain or shine” event. Please watch the weather and plan accordingly. The event will be rescheduled in case of lightning or severe weather. We will communicate any change in plans via social media and/or email.
Pack In & Pack Out: Please be mindful of trash and clean up after yourselves especially if you bring your own food or any dogs.
Just a few more details:
- There are food trucks scheduled for the event. Please bring cash or card to purchase if you choose.
- Individually wrapped snacks will be also be available for free. Please bring your own water/beverage.
- Well-behaved dogs are welcome to attend. They must be leashed, and owner’s must clean up after their dogs.
