Want your medal to be engraved with your place and time?

Support the APSU GIS Center, the designers of our overall awards, and have your medal showcase your accomplishment at the finish line. Following the race, we will engrave your medal with your name, place, and time!*

*Engraved medals will be mailed 2-4 weeks following the race. Only your name will be engraved in the event you are participating in the 1K, virtually, are a no-show, or do not complete the race.

If you are participating in both the 1K and the 5K, and would like a medal for both, you must purchase 2. If only one is ordered, the 5K is priority.

All In-person 5K racers receive a free non-engraved medal with a sticker on the back where name, place, and time can be handwritten.

Upgrade your race day experience with Priority Parking in Lot 67, located directly behind the Pace Alumni Center—just steps from check-in and the finish line! This lot also allows for easy arrival and exit from North Second Street and Patrick/Kraft Street. All proceeds fund of choice previously selected for 5K registration or 1K registration. Spaces are limited, so reserve yours early! 

Free parking in Emerald Hill Apartments & Robb Avenue is first-come, first-served, and can be up to a 10-minute walk from check-in and the finish line.

Please note that the North Second Street gate is closed temporarily from the start of the 1K race through the end of the 5K race. The Patrick/Kraft Street gate is closed temporarily from the start of the 1K race through the start of the 5K race. Meaning there is no entrance/exit for this lot from approximately 7:50 am - 8:40 am.

Add on the Valerie Hunter-Kelly Run/Walk For the Govs 1K and save!

 The Valerie Hunter-Kelly Run/Walk For the Govs 1K is in honor of Run For Govs 5K Committee member, Valerie Hunter-Kelly. After completing her first half-marathon in 2012, she became an avid runner, with a mission to run a marathon or half-marathon in all fifty states and Washington, D.C. In January 2020, she accomplished that goal when she completed a half marathon in Maui, Hawaii, along with many friends and family who traveled with her to celebrate the milestone.

She was lovingly surrounded by her immediate family when she crossed her final finish line on Saturday, November 7, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee. Valerie had a legacy of determination, service, professionalism, humor, and a contagious zest for life. She loved travel, good food, meeting new people, problem-solving, and a challenge. She was a treasured daughter, friend, and mentor, a leader, a wife, and a mother.

The proceeds from Valerie's 1K will benefit the Valerie Hunter-Kelly (HHP) Scholarship. As she was passionate about helping others, this scholarship assists students in professional development endeavors.

Dog Registration is $10 for non-service animals.

Please arrive at the race with proof of vaccination, and dogs must be strangers and other dog-friendly.
