With the cancellation of the SC Half, we are excited to offer a Virtual Half and Full Challenge designed to test your limits against yourself and your competition.  Part of the SC Triathlon Series 2020 points chase, the SC Half and Full Virtual Challenge will see just how long it will take you to complete the half or full triathlon distance.

56 mile Bike
13.1 mile Run

2.4 mile Swim
112 mile Bike
26.2 mile Run

You will have one month to complete the half or the full (or both if you so choose) and your GUN time will start when you begin your first workout toward the cumulative distance.  Your overall time will be the time between the start of your first workout and when you complete the entire distance.  That's right, you do not have to complete the distances all at once, nor do you have to complete them in the traditional order of Swim - Bike - Run.  The idea is to complete the distances as quickly as you can no matter how you split up the segments.

Note: Each athlete will receive two times.  1) Your GUN time will be the total time it takes you to complete the distance.  This time will include rest time, sleep, workouts etc.  So it is the total time that elapses from the beginning of your first workout until the end of your final workout.  2) Your CHIP time will be the combined time from all your workouts only.  This CHIP time is the time that will be calculated in RunSignUp and will be a sum of all the workouts you enter into RunSignUp using the link below.

Please NOTE this activity will be tracked through the RunSignUp Results portal and you will be responsible for uploading your results to the portal.  You can do this HERE.  We will be verifying data through the South Carolina Triathlon Series Club on Strava.  You will need to have a Strava account to participate and log your miles and time here as well.  You can sign up for the SCTS Strava Club HERE

This event will count towards the final SCTS qualifications for 2020. Please remember - you will want to sign up in the same category as you would a normal on site race to receive credit towards your final series standings.

Scoring - SC Triathlon Series

Series Scoring for this event will be very simple.  Every athlete who completes the appropriate distance and submits their results will receive South Carolina Triathlon Series points:

  • SC HALF = 8,000 points
  • SC FULL = 10,000 points  

NOTE: You will need to upload each item under the Swim, Bike, Run sections to the RunSignUp results portal HERE.  These results will be verified through Strava or other methods as needed.

Please register under the proper category so your points will be assigned to you in the proper category for the remainder of the race season (Open, Age Group, Clydesdale, Athena, etc).
