The world-renowned name in Off-Road Triathlon comes to our family-oriented beach vacation destination and the result is XTERRA Myrtle Beach. Now in our 6th year, we are expanding the experience and offering both triathlon and trail race events!
Our triathlon race has become a popular kick-off season favorite on the XTERRA American Tour Points Series.
This race is part of the XTERRA Southeast Region.
The race begins with a unique boat ride to the starting line and fast current assisted swim in the Intracoastal Waterway. The bike leg will surprise many, with a challenging and technical course that will engage racers over two laps to cover 14 miles. The single track is a hidden gem among our coastal geography! Our run course is a true mix of terrain covering 5 miles. Drawing beginners and experienced racers alike, the XTERRA Myrtle Beach is a race like no other!
1500 YARD SWIM | 14 MILE MOUNTAIN BIKE | 5 MILE TRAIL RUN

Sunday April 14th
- 6:00am - 7:30am Packet Pick Up at Transition Area just past Horry County Run & Bike Park Trail Head
- 6:00am - 7:30am Transition Open/Closed
- 7:30am - 7:45am Pre-Race Instructions
- 7:45am Load onto Boats to Swim Start
- 8:00am XTERRA Myrtle Beach Triathlon Starts
- 8:15am XTERRA Myrtle Beach Trail Run Starts
- Approx. 10:15am Trail Run Awards
- Approx. 12:30pm Triathlon Awards
- 12:30pm Course Closes
