Course
A 5K road course starting and finishing from the Sarasota Event Center running along Circus Boulevard through the Glen Oaks Estates neighborhood and back to the Sarasota Event Center at the Sahib Shrine for post-race refreshments.
NOTE: We strongly recommend that participants holding a pace to take 1 hour or more to complete their 5K start on the 'early" side of the start timeframe, closer to 7:30, and not wait too long. Our race Volunteers will direct participants who reach the exit to Glen Oaks (about mile 2.5) later than 8:30 a.m. to use the sidewalk to finish the last 0.60 miles of the course.
Trivia: Glen Oaks is on the land that was the Winter Home of the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus from 1927 to 1960. More about the Glen Oaks Estates neighborhood:
