The race is SOLD OUT! A huge thanks to everyone taking part in this year's 5k!

Packet Pickup is Friday!

We highly encourage you to pick up your packet on Friday before race day. Race-day pickup can be hectic and time-sensitive, so having your bib in hand beforehand makes for a much smoother morning.

Make your bib sparkle! ✨ Sacramento Running Company will have decorations to make your bib shine bright. Just make sure you do not cover up your bib number as this is part of how your photos are sorted.

Important Details:

If you plan to participate in costume, let your packet volunteer know at pickup to be entered into the raffle.

Announcing our Race MC!

🎤 A big thank you to our race MC, Sacramento’s most famous drag queen, the one and only, Taryn Thru U! Get ready for fierce energy and the most fabulous countdown to the start line you've ever heard.

Venue Maps

Course Info

The course begins in front of the California State Railroad Museum and heads south along the Sacramento River trail, with the 5K turnaround at Miller Regional Park. Cyclists will lead the route.

Participants will self-sort into corrals based on approximate pace, with walkers in their own corral after runners. Each corral starts about a minute apart and this does not affect your race timing.

There will be a water station at the turnaround at Miller Regional Park, and water will also be available at the finish line.

The course is chip-timed and well-marked. Our race management company, Capital Road Race Management (CRRM), has over two decades of experience putting on great races. Results kiosks will be available at the results tent on site.

Parking & Transit

Paid parking is available at three garages within walking distance of the start: Tower Bridge Garage to the south (1289 Front St), Old Sac Garage to the north (125 I St), and West Premium Garage to the east (325 L St). Each is about a 5 to 10 minute walk to the meeting area. Download the ParkMobile app to easily find and pay for parking in Old Sac.

We have dedicated bike racks at the venue, plus bike parking throughout Old Sacramento.

Prefer transit? SacRT’s Yellow Line terminates at Sacramento Valley Station, about a 12-minute walk to the Rail Museum.

Warm-Up

Get your body ready with a pump-up routine led by the OrangeTheory team before the start! OrangeTheory has put together a fun warm-up to get you feeling loose, energized, and ready to run with Pride.

Cheer Squad

The Sacramento Sirens Cheer Elite will be stationed at the 5K turnaround at Miller Regional Park to keep your energy high right when you need it most. Give them some love when you pass by!

Costume Attire and Raffle

We are bringing the fabulous to the finish line and we want YOU in your most creative, colorful, and outrageous costume! Think mermaids, unicorns, matching group fits, inflatable dinosaurs, glitter beards, drag royalty, and everything in between. Whether you are dressing as a walking disco ball or a rainbow warrior, this is your moment to shine.

Costumed participants will be entered into a raffle for some amazing prizes. Run, strut, sashay, or dance your way through the 5K in style because at the Sac Pride 5K, it’s not just about crossing the finish line. It’s about how you get there. ✨

This is a ticketless raffle. You will be asked at packet pickup if you are participating in costume. If yes, we will note your bib number and pick winners on race day. If your bib is drawn for the raffle, you must be in a fabulous costume in order to win a prize.

Raffle Prizes include: A free hotel stay at Hyatt, a free membership to In Shape Family Fitness, gift cards, and more!

Swag

We are so excited to reveal this year’s shirt and medal! 🎉 Designed by some of our awesome FrontRunners members. Every participant will receive a race t-shirt at packet pickup if they reserved one during signup, and a medal upon finishing the race.

Awards

The top 3 finishers in each gender category (male, female, and non-binary) will receive a custom sun-shaped beaded "medal." The top finisher in each category also takes home a curated charcuterie and wine gift basket.

Note that costume awards are not part of the formal awards but do get you entered into the costume raffle!

Results & Photos

Your official results and race certificate will be emailed to you after finishing the race. Photos will be uploaded as soon as possible and will be searchable by bib number. Check the Photos page to view or manage your shots.

If you share on social media, please tag @sacfrontrunners and use #sacpriderun2026. We love seeing your race day moments!

Post-Race Fun

The party does not stop at the finish line!

📸 Stick around for awards, music, raffle prizes, photo ops, vendors, and additional snacks while they last.

🏆 Costume raffle and awards ceremony begin around 9:40 AM.

🍕 Thanks to Mountain Mike’s, we’ll have FREE PIZZA and beverages at the finish line! First come, first served, so grab a slice after you cross.

🍻 Then head over to our Official After-Party at Bear & Crown (1022 2nd Street, Old Sac, just two blocks from the finish line) from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM for drinks and Pride specials.

🏳️‍🌈 The Sacramento Pride Festival kicks off at 1:00 PM on the Capitol Mall. See you there!

Good to Know

Portable toilets will be available near the start/finish line. Public restrooms are also available in Old Sacramento.

Basic first aid will be available at the finish line. For emergencies, staff will be stationed along the course and can call 911 if needed.

We are not offering a formal bag drop, so please plan accordingly and travel light.

Spectators can cheer you on from the start/finish line at the Rail Museum, along I Street and 2nd Street in Old Sacramento, Pioneer Landing Park, and at the Miller Regional Park turnaround.

Lost something? Stop by the info table near the finish line or email sacfrontrunners@gmail.com after the event.
