Early starts are not allowed (unless you registered for the Saturday Marathon early walkers start). Only official and local vehicles are allowed on the course. No bicycles, baby joggers, pets, in-line skates, unauthorized and other non-official wheeled vehicles are prohibited on the course

Half-Marathon Walkers: No early start available.

Contact us to request a switch.

Other Information

Early starters in the marathon will have a minimum finishing time of 6 hours. Relay participants must wait until the preceding leg is completed before starting; teams failing to do so will be disqualified.

Aid Stations

Aid stations are spaced approximately every 1.5 miles. Gatorade and water will be available at each station, and a medical aid station will be located at the start/finish area.

Trail Etiquette

  • The trails are narrow, so please be cautious and courteous to other participants.
  • Discard cups and trash only at water stops or in trash bins, never on the trails.
  • Expect slower times due to the trail surface. Line up at the start according to your pace.
  • Stay to the right on the trails, and allow others to pass by moving to single file if necessary.
  • If wearing headphones, keep the volume low to hear others wanting to pass.
  • Avoid running on Todville Road if the trails are muddy, as it is dangerous for foot traffic.

Bag Drop

A bag drop area will be available under the pavilion near the race start/finish. It will be attended throughout the race.
