Parksville, KY 40440 US

Ruck Rules

We're excited to offer the Rucking Division for the 3/6/12 and 24 Hour.  For those new to the concept, rucking involves walking or hiking with a weighted pack.  The term originates from the military word "Rucksack, " meaning "Backpack."
Weight Requirements:
Over 150lb: 20 lb dry weight
Under 150lb: 10 lb dry weight
Weigh-ins will take place 60 minutes prior to the race start — no weigh-in, no patch.
The required weight must be carried in the form of a steel ruck plate, weight vest blocks, bumper plates, or other items with a clearly stamped weight.
Participants may not remove or reduce their weight at any time during the event. Random weight checks may occur at aid stations or anywhere on the course.
If you are wearing a weighted vest, you will be moved to the Run Division and will not qualify for a podium spot in the Ruck Division.
We operate on the honor system, so please do the right thing and help keep the event fair for everyone.

Weights shall consist of plates or equivalent in non-consumable objects in the rucksack at the start point. Weight will be verified at the beginning and end of the event, and spot check as needed.
We are excited to say each finisher will receive a patch once your race is officially over or you've tapped out.
Top Overall Male & Female finishers will be recognized in the 3-, 6-, 12-, 24 Hour Ruck Events.
Note: All participants will receive a patch along with other race swag.
Veterans & Military Will Receive a Discount email us at runsoutherngrit@gmail.com
