Space Race

Ready to register your company for Space Race? We’ve broken it down into simple steps to make it easy and digestible. If you have any issues or questions, please reach out to our Team Coordinator, Summer Hall at summer@knighteady.com. 

Create a Team

• Create a corporate team by clicking here and then selecting “Create a New Team”
• Select either a Level 1 or Level 2 Team based on your needs/preference. 
  
  • A Level 1 Corporate Team is ideal for larger companies. It comes with a 20'x20' BizHubble Space. 
  • A Level 2 Corporate Team is better for smaller companies. It comes with a 10'x10' BizHubble Space. 
• In the “Event Costs” area, this is where you can designate if you’ll cover any of your employee’s fees when they are registering. Please note, if you choose not to cover any costs, please place the value at $0.00. 
• In the following sections, you can create your own rules for who can join your team, how many people you will cover the cost for (if any) and if family members are allowed to participate on your team. 
• On the next page, you will first enter some general information about your company. You will also have the option to enter your CEO (or a senior member of your team) into our CEO Challenge. You can read more about that here. Lastly, you will have the option to express interest in participating in our Cornhole Competition. 
  Once the team is created, you can begin promoting the race to your employees! Please note, that registering your team does not automatically register the Team Captain for the race. You must register and join your Corporate Team. 

Pay for Your Team

Upon registering on RunSignup, you will be required to pay your initial company registration fee. If you choose to cover all or part of your employees' registration costs, those fees will be invoiced following the race.

Choose Your Team Captains

• Designate one to three Team Captains for your company.
• Team Captains will be responsible for: 
  
  • Signing up your company as a team
  • Advertising and recruit employees company-wide to participate
  • Informing employees how to join the company team
  • Serving as your company’s point person
  • Making additional purchases in the team captain store regarding team spaces and food/beverage vouchers
  • Coordinating company team packet pick-up
  • Distributing and communicating race materials and information to team participants 
• Once you have selected your Team Captain(s), email summer@knighteady.com their names and emails. 

 

Recruit Your Employees

• As Team Captain, an important part of your job is recruiting employees to join your team. The attachment below hosts a handful of helpful tools to promote Space Race to your employees via Slack, email, socials, and more.
• Just copy/paste the graphics and text in the attachment into your email newsletters, social media posts, or other internal forms of communication.  

 

Plan Your BizHubble Space

• BizHubble is the spot to relax pre and post race, while mingling with your coworkers and neighboring companies. We’ll have programming, a live music, and tons of scheduled fun.
• The Space Race team will let you know before the event exactly where your team space will be. In the meantime, be thinking about what kind of decorations you might want to bring to make your space out of this world (PS - we give an award for the best decorated space!).
• Think through any small snacks, refreshments or giveaways you might want to offer to your employees, their families or even other participants. The choice is completely yours! 
• For food and beverage, participants will be able to purchase both from vendors that will be announced at a later date and will be located throughout BizHubble.
