Virtual Event FAQ
What is a virtual run?
A virtual run is a ‘race’ that you can complete from any location you choose.
When can my child run/walk the race?
Any time on Friday, June 9, Saturday, June 10, or Sunday, June 11, that is convenient for you and your child.
Where can my child run/walk the race?
Choose a location that is safe and convenient. Your child can run, jog, or walk on the sidewalk, on a trail, or on a track. You can travel to a destination or stay in your neighborhood!
Race Suggested course distance
Michigan Mile: 1 mile
KIDSPRINT: 200 yards
Can I run with my child?
Yes! We encourage you to run with your child or cheer them on from the sidelines – you do not have to register.
I registered my child, what should I do next?
Yay! We are so excited that your family will be participating this year – please plan to stop by one of our packet pick-ups to receive your child’s t-shirt and race bag with all of their race day goodies! If you opted to have your packet shipped, it should arrive by race weekend.
What should I do after my child completes their virtual race?
Since this is a fun run and distance is estimated, you do not need to submit a time, but we would love to see your race photos and hear about your race day experience! Tag us on your social media using #MiMile and share your feedback on the post-race survey, which will be emailed after the event.
My child has a conflict and can no longer participate, can I get a refund?
The race registration fee is non-refundable, as noted on the registration form. The virtual event can be completed ANYTIME during the race weekend, so we hope you'll be able to find a time to participate. Regardless, we would encourage you to come to packet pick-up on Friday or Saturday to get your child's race bag (with goodies!) and race t-shirt.
