Awareness and Fundraising WALK in support of the Community Projects for Seniors mission to brighten the everyday lives of senior citizens who reside in low-income housing throughout 50 cities within 8 counties of S.E. Wisconsin, by walking with us on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
Our meal & social programs, and care package delivery, helps fight loneliness and social isolation.
Three volunteers delivered a few hundred hot Christmas meals in 1986.
Currently, hundreds of volunteers deliver more than 3,000 free hot ready-to-eat meals every year on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and again on Christmas Day.

EVENT DETAILS

TIME:
9:00 A.M. (walker check-in)
10:30 A.M. (walk starts)
$35 per walker, includes t-shirt.
$35 fee includes all credit card fees.
Kids under 12 are free (no shirt).
LOCATION

Distance: 5K Walk (Non-Competitive)
There are also 2 fun short-cuts if you want to walk less than 5K.
SHIRTS
There will be several dates to pick up your shirt early (at our office) which will be announced closer to the event.
You can also pick up your shirt on the day of the Walk, when you check in.
FUN COUPON FOR PAID WALKERS
Paid walkers ($35) - do you want a coupon for a free hot dog, chips, and a cookie?
Look for our coupon in your Valpak (blue envelope filled with coupons, that arrives at your house every month).
Paid walkers - you can redeem this coupon only when picking up your shirt.
FUNDRAISING GOAL
$65,000
All proceeds go towards our holiday meal delivery program to seniors over the age of 60.
EVENT SCHEDULE
Complimentary snacks & refreshments will be provided upon arrival.
Coffee and lunch will be available for purchase.
9:00 AM: Check-In Starts.
10:00 - 10:30 AM: Opening Ceremony.
10:30 AM: Walk Starts.
9:00 AM - 12 Noon: Complimentary refreshments, coffee available for purchase.
9:00 AM - 12:15 PM: 50/50 raffle tickets will be sold.
Directly after the Walk: Mingling and Music.
If you choose not to walk, you can just go directly to the mingling.
12:30 PM: (50/50) Raffle Winner Announcement.
MINI-FUNDRAISERS
Between now and September, we will hold mini-fundraisers in support of our senior meal programs, to help meet our goal of $65,000.
WHAT IS A MINI-FUNDRAISER?
A small event or activity designed to add donations to our overall WALK goal of $65,000. Contact us for details, and to get ideas.
Jeffery Hansen already raised $2,033.00 at his fun Packer Party Mini-Fundraiser. He charged each guest $10 to attend his Packer Party at on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Urban Harvest Brewery in Milwaukee, Wi. All of the proceeds from the WALK and the mini-fundraisers, go towards our holiday meal delivery programs for economically disadvantaged seniors.
