Join us for the Stay Out of the Sun Run 5K!

Please note our fee structure. Registration rates will increase according to the dates listed below. Register early to save!

Regular rate registration will close Wednesday, February 18 at 11:59 PM CT. The MRF team will offer on-site registration on event day but highly encourage you and your team to sign up early!

On Friday, May 8, 2026, the Stay Out of the Sun Run 5K event will take place at Cascade Lake Park with the site opening at 4:30 PM CT for check-in. Opening Ceremonies will begin at 6:00 PM CT. The 5K will begin at 6:30 PM CT with our Closing ceremonies to follow after all runners have returned starting at 7:30 PM CT.

Join us early and take advantage of all our fun event day activities, which include:

• Stop by to meet all our sponsors and receive free giveaway items such as tote bags, sunscreen, pens and much more!
• Play outdoor games
• Complete the kids activity packet located at the MRF information tent
• Glitter tattoos and bracelet making

Please note this 5K course is not a certified 5K course but the MRF team will have an on-site timer to provide race results to all registered runners. The MRF team is not responsible for lost runners on the 5K course, and it is the responsibility of the runner to review the 5K course leading up to the event.

Stay Out of the Sun Run is a rain or shine 5K event. The safety of our participants and attendees are our top priority and on-site MRF staff will make the call to delay an event start time or cancel an event-on-event day. This information will be communicated to all registered participants on event day via email.

Free parking is available at Cascade Lake Park.

All in-person attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the 5K event. The MRF team will provide information to the public regarding the venue’s recommended parking locations, if applicable.
