Start/Finish Line
All Races Start and Finish at the Eastwood Beach Pavilion inside of Stony Creek Metropark
Click here for a link to Eastwood Beach in Google Maps
Surface
All Races are run on the asphalt Hike/Bike path within the park. The path is 2 way traffic. The path will be open to the public during the races.
There is a 3 mile stretch (out & back) on Island Drive that is asphalt road (50k, 26.2, 13.1). This road is closed to cars during the race.
The start/finish line & the 50ish yards on either side is on concrete sidewalk. There is a short (30 yards) grass section that connects the Eastwood Beach Parking Lot to the Hike/Bike path. This section is run at the start of the race and when returning to the start/finish line area (the 10k+ only runs this grass section once)
Road Crossings
There are a few crossings of parking lot driveways. Please use caution when crossing any parking lot intersections as Automobile traffic has the right of way. Do not run through these crossing assuming that the cars will stop (you should never assume the cars will stop). Slowing down momentarily (looking both ways) to ensure that you get through the crossing safely will not significantly impact your race time - it may improve it. Please be safe.
Aid Stations
There will have aid stations every mile around the lake. Gatorade Endurance Formula, water, bananas, vaseline, Pepsi
