In celebration of L.A. Chinatown Firecracker’s 48th Anniversary, we are excited to announce a collaboration with Chef Max Boonthanakit of the Michelin Star rated restaurant, Camphor (https://www.instagram.com/camphorla/), located in the Arts District of Los Angeles and his highly rated small batch chili oil, Boon Sauce, which has been acquiring an intense cult following among its’ fans. The signature Boon Sauce jar has been redesigned to feature the Firecracker logo. This new Firecracker jar filled with Boon Sauce will make your palate scream with flavor and spice, to further drive home the firecracker aesthetic. The sauce is made with 100% chile de árbol and will enhance any dish with a quick flash of heat. The savory and intense flavors come from árbol chiles, garlic and anchovies. Firecracker x Boon Sauce is the perfect finishing touch to any dish or use it as an ingredient while cooking at home.
We want to share Firecracker x Boon Sauce with our L.A. Chinatown Firecracker fans, the sauce will be available during the post-event expo taking place during the L.A. Chinatown Firecracker weekend of February 28 and March 1.

L.A. Chinatown Firecracker is one of the largest and oldest running races in the U.S. with its upcoming Lunar New Year 5k/10k run and walk, 20/40-mile cycling ride, Paw’er dog walk, and Kiddie Run events held over the weekend of February 28-March 1 2026, at the historic Los Angeles Chinatown Plaza.
