Fundraising: Raising funds is not a requirement; however, we do encourage individuals and teams to set a fundraising goal and ask friends and family to help reach that goal. The Lucky Kidney Run™ is a large fund raiser for the East Tennessee Kidney Foundation. Please support our local mission of improving the lives of East Tennesseans suffering from kidney disease; 100% of funds raised stay right here in East Tennessee and help people with whom we work and play and those whom we care for and love.
ETKF asks for your help in making this a strong and successful fund raising event. No donation or fundraising goal is too small! RunSignUp's personalized fundraiser pages with options to load pictures, social media sharing, scrolling list of donors and other new features make is easy and fun to contribute to ETKF's mission. Create a unique team name so friends and family can easily locate and attribute their donations to your fundraising goal. Some companies offer matching donations by simply completing a form with HR; ask your company to support your fundraiser, or to sponsor a team!

Volunteers are needed for both the Lucky Kidney Run™ and the Market Square Irish Festival on both Friday, March 13th and Saturday, March 14th. This is a favorite event of students needing community service hours for Tennessee Promise and school-related requirements. We happily accept groups of volunteers as well as children, as long as they are accompanied by an adult or guardian age 18 years or older. All volunteers receive FREE volunteer shirt. Sign up to volunteer now, or go to http://www.volunteeretn.org/etkidney to view volunteer jobs & available shifts. We need you to make our event a success! Thank you!

Please note DETOUR for 2020's race regarding Depot Avenue.
Depot Avenue is still closed due to construction. The course will take a slight detour to avoid this construction and keep participants safe. Follow the course as guided on the course map up until you turn onto Depot from Morgan. Once on Depot, you will TURN RIGHT onto WILLIAMS then LEFT onto MAGNOLIA. After running a short distance you will TURN RIGHT to get back onto Gay Street and resume the normal course.
Both courses begin behind the Market Square stage on Wall Avenue. We will turn left onto Gay Street. then straight down Gay Street, a quick loop through the Old City, then get back onto Gay Street. Once you get to the 4th & Gill neighborhood, you will stay on Luttrell; turn around just before Glenwood and head back the same course to Gay Street. Do NOT run through the Old City loop on the way back; stay on Gay Street until you turn right on Wall Avenue and cross the mat at the Finish Line. The course will be well marked with cones, green arrows, course monitors and Knoxville Police Department officers. Stay safe, stay on course, and Happy Running!
