Description
2024 will be the year to Run LoCo Half Marathon and Elf on the Run 5K! The Run LoCo Half Marathon will be a certified out and back race course starting and finishing at the Tellico Lake Canal Day Use Area. Scenic views of the Tennessee River, Downtown Lenoir City and the Greenway will be featured on this certified course. All Runners will receive a swag bag at registration including a Run LoCo Hoodie. Finishers will receive a finisher medal, wonderful views and fantastic day. Runners need to be registered by October 15 to guarantee swag.
Half Marathon Race starts at 8am, Elf on the Run will start at 8:05.
5K Elf on the Run will also be an out and back race utilizing start and finish at Tellico Lake Canal Day Use Area. Elf runners will receive swag bags and hoodies at registration, finisher medals, wonderful views and fantastic day! Registrations by October 15 will be guaranteed swag. Runners are encouraged to dress as the Elf normally found on a shelf.

Race Requirements
You must be at least 6 years of age to register and compete in the 5K and at least 13 years of age to register and compete in the half marathon. The half marathon course will be prominently marked and some sections will be coned, runner lanes will be closed to traffic. The course will be open from 8 am until 12pm. After 12 pm, there will not be any support for runners or walkers on the course. Race timing will be until 12:00 pm. The 5K Course will be located on the Half Marathon course with a turn around at 1.55 miles. Dogs, vehicles to transport children, baby carriers, bicycles, skates, and skateboards, are strictly prohibited.
Race Entry Regulations
Entry fees are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE.
You must be at least 6 years old to run the 5k and at least 13 years old to run the Half Marathon.
You must be in good health and physically prepared to run the race.
A race bib is required to run the race. You must wear the bib that you are assigned.
Race Officials have the right to remove participants who do not comply.
NO dogs, vehicles to transport children, baby carriers, bicycles, in-line skates or skateboards.
Race Officials have the right to disqualify or remove from the course any participant whose activity violates any condition set forth or who poses any harm to himself/herself or any other participant.
PARKING
Runners will park in Tellico Dam Parking Area. Runners will make their way to the start-line. After completing the race, runners will return to their vehicles for departure. This is an out and back race, Half will be 6.55 miles out, and return on same route. Parking will be at the start/finish line.
No Race Day Registration
THERE WILL BE NO DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION.
Registration for all events will close at 6:00 PM EST Friday, December 6, 2024.

5K: 3 deep m/f overall 1 deep m/f master, grandmaster and veteran 3 deep m/f in age group 6-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
Disqualification

Proceeds from this event support the mission of the Loudon County Education Foundation. Our mission is to invest in education in Loudon County by enriching lifelong learning, encouraging professional development and emphasizing business and community participation.
What is the Loudon County Education Foundation? The Loudon County Education Foundation offers scholarships to students, and classroom grants to teachers, conducts the annual Young Achievers Award Ceremony, holds an annual essay contest for grades 3 – 8 and facilitates funding for other programs for both the City and County school systems. We are the host organization for Imagination Library in Loudon County and Leadership Loudon County is also a part of the excellent package of programs offered by the Education Foundation. The Education Foundation is an important resource for our community. Since 2012, LCEF has donated over $950,000 to Educational Programs in Loudon County!

Event Transfers
We realize that sometimes circumstances arise that affect the event chosen during the registration process. The Run LOCO Half Marathon & 5K Race will allow participants to transfer between events after they complete the registration process under the following guidelines:
Transfer from the 5K to the Half Marathon by 11:59 p.m. November 1, 2024. Pay the additional fee for the Half Marathon.
Transfer from the Half Marathon to the 5K by 11:59 p.m. November 1, 2024. No refund of the Half Marathon.
The following steps will enable a registrant to transfer to a different event prior to November 1, 2024:
1. Sign In to RunSignUp
2. Go to your Profile
3. Click My Registered Races
4. Click Manage Registration next to the registration that you would like to transfer your event for
5. Click the Transfer Event Pricing menu item
6. Click the Start Transfer button
7. Select your new Event from the Event Drop-Down and click Continue
8. Agree to the Waiver and click Continue to complete the rest of the registration

Race Packet Pick Up
Packet Pick Up will be at the Loudon County Education Foundation /News-Herald Office at 201 Simpson Road, Lenoir City, TN 37771.
12 pm - 7pm on Friday, December 6, 2024.
A photo ID is required for packet pick up. A fellow runner may pick up packets for other runners provided they have a copy of that runner’s photo ID. A parent or legal guardian MUST accompany a minor participant at packet pickup.
