The 39th edition of the Topeka to Auburn Half-marathon which is put on by the Sunflower Striders Running Club of Topeka and used as a fundraiser for the local High School Cross Country and Track Teams will take place Saturday, January 16, 2021. It features a 9 am wave start, and this year there will be a Virtual option. Due to health restrictions the normal point to point race has been changed to a course that features a loop around the town of Auburn Kansas followed by an out and back segment (country unpaved roads) on the usual Topeka to Auburn course. Although the signature Hill will not be featured this year the last three miles of the race are the same and include some of the most challenging rolling hills. Racers will have to face some north winds, but will turn around near the 8 mile mark and head back south to the finish. Why does someone run this race? It could be because of the challenge and the feeling of accomplishment when completed or it’s just a good way to begin the New Year. Whatever the reason, please come and join this group of crazies and share in the experience known as T2A. Looking forward to seeing you in Auburn!
