I am no longer able to participate. Can I transfer my registration or get a refund?
A. Unfortunately, the race is non-refundable and non-transferrable. Contact TPAEvents@TampaAirport.com if you are not able to run. Please note: You may not give or sell your bib to another person. Receive or purchase a bib from another person. Modify or copy a bib for any purpose, or participate with a bib not assigned to you by TPA. Attempting to do so will result in suspension or disqualification from all future TPA race events.
Can I register on the day of the race?
A. No. The number of runners is limited to the first 2,000 participants. The race sells out quickly so be sure to register as soon as possible.
Can I pick up another runner's packet for them?
A. Yes, but you will need to bring a copy of their driver's license or Runsignup registration confirmation. If picking up for multiple people, notify TPAEvents@TampaAirport.com and we will have everything ready for your arrival.
Will this be a chip timed race?
A. The race is gun to chip time. This is based off the USATF Rule 245.1, which states that the order in which the athletes cross the finish line will be the official finish position.
How old does my child have to be to participate in the 5K?
A. The child must have a bib and be able to walk/run the 5K on their own without being carried and have a registered adult with them at all times. NO strollers, baby carriers, or carrying your child.
Are wheelchairs able to participate?
A. Absolutely! When you register, you must check "wheelchair participant". Please note that the grooves in the runway will make it very challenging for a manual wheelchair.
Will the race continue if it is raining?
A. The race will continue rain or shine. If we need to cancel the race, an email will be sent out and we will post about the cancellation on our social media pages.
