The Active Texan Tinsel Trot

With the success of year two of The Active Texan Triathlon in September, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming Active Texan Tinsel Trot, a festive holiday 5K, 10K race and 1 mile kids/family fun run at Lake Walk this December. Partial proceeds will be going to Toys for Tots this year. The event will be a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the holiday season. We hope you will come join us in creating a new tradition with your family and friends. We will finish the race as the sun sets on the green by the pavilion at Lake Walk to enjoy a great festive after party under the Christmas lights!

Each participant will receive a finisher medal. There will be awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall male and female for the 5k and 10k races. Participants in the 5k and 10k races will also receive a t-shirt and some other swag from sponsors. The races will be chip timed. 

For 10k participants only, a headlamp is highly recommended as the race will finish in the dark, however the course is well lit for a majority of it by the street lights. We will also have glow sticks/bracelets for participants to wear as well as glow sticks on the race course.
