Description
Welcome to the J.L. Long Middle School 28th Annual Long Run 5K!
The event this year will be on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The 1K starts at 6 pm; the 5K starts at 6:30 pm.
The 28th Annual Long Run 5K starts and finishes at JL Long Middle School 6116 Reiger Ave, Dallas, TX 75214
The 28th Annual Long Run is the only fundraiser sponsored by the J.L. Long Middle School PTA. Proceeds are critical to fund the J.L. Long Middle School PTA budget for items such as:

Educational and arts enrichment (school musical, college fair)

Campus remodeling and improvement

Student well-being and safety (walkie talkies, nurse clinic)

Student life and events (grade level dances, Buc Camp, 8th grade graduation)

Peace Pantry
-
Teacher wish list items and school supplies

And so much more!!
Sponsorships
For any corporate sponsorships, please visit the The Long Run to provide payment. You do not need to sign up for the race. Your sponsorship comes with 5-10 race entries, and we will follow up for your runner information soon.
For Buc Family sponsorships of $500 or less, please start by signing up for the race here if you would like race entries (sponsorship includes 5 free!). Choose YES when asked to create a Buc Sign Up team (aka Buc Family Sponsorship). If you do not want race entries, you may proceed to Donate now without signing up for the race.
To register for a Buc Family Sponsor Level (all family sponsor levels include 5 race entries), choose either the 1K or 5K. On page 2 when asked, "Would you like to join or create a Buc Family Sponsorship?" select Yes.
Packet Pickup
Packet Pick up is Wednesday April 8th, 2026 from 4:00-7:00pm on the JL Long front lawn.
Dinner and a T-shirt
Every race registrant will receive dinner and a t-shirt.
Your choice of dinner from either Mexico Lindo or Chelsea Corner!
