Victory Over Violence is an annual event organized by The Women’s Center of Tarrant County to raise both funds and awareness in support of The Women’s Center’s many anti-violence initiatives. The 2025 Walk/Run will be the 28th annual event in the race’s history, thanks to the generous support of thousands of individuals and many corporate and community sponsors throughout the years.

The event brings more than 2,500 people of all ages together to show their support, participate in both the Fun Run & 5K, and compete for prizes & awards. The success of this event is made possible with the help of our dedicated volunteers, who handle a multitude of tasks ranging from parking assistance, providing refreshments, and cheering on participants throughout the course.

Because this event is focused on raising the awareness of violence that affects people of all ages, it’s important for us to be family-friendly and accessible to individuals of all ages. Participants are encouraged to take the walk/run at their own pace. A Kids’ Zone is open to children during the duration of the event.
