The 48th Annual Bayou City Classic 10K and 5k Fun Run
February 22, 2025
The 48th running of the Bayou City Classic 10K, Texas' oldest 10K race, will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 8AM (Hand-Cycle/Pushrim start is 7:50AM). The 5K Fun Run/Walk will start at 8:20AM (Hand-Cycle/Pushrim start is 8:15AM).
The event takes place in the heart of downtown Houston (Hermann Square adjacent to City Hall). This is a family-friendly, all-inclusive event. We invite EVERYONE to participate. Wheelchair/Pushrim participants are welcomed and encouraged. Full race details at www.bayoucityclassic.org.

Proceeds from the Bayou City Classic are donated to the Houston Parks & Recreation Department to improve our city parks and preserve our trees. This non-profit event is organized by the Houston Area Road Runners Association (HARRA), an all volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to promote running as a competitive sport and a healthful exercise. The race has donated over $250,000 for the Parks over the previous eight years!

Race day, Saturday, February 22nd, at Hermann Square by City Hall.

- 7:50AM: Handcycle/Pushrim Division
- 8:00AM: Run/Walk 10K
- 5K Start:
- 8:15 AM: Handcycle/Pushrim Division
- 8:20AM: Run/Walk 5K
10K/5K Fees
- Early Bird (to 9/15/24!) $35 (Lowest Price - no additional discounts)
- Early (9/16/24 to 1/08/25): $45
- Regular (1/09/25 - 2/21/25 ): $50
- Race Morning: $55. Must be registered by 7:30 AM to be eligible for awards.

COVID-19 POLICY
Our top priority is the well-being of our participants, volunteers, and the members of the communities we serve! We plan to hold this event in person. We are monitoring the situation with COVID-19 in our community carefully and will accommodate any modifications required to hold a safe event.
If our municipality does not allow large gatherings and this run cannot take place in person, we will switch all to a virtual run option and ensure that you receive your race items, whether it be by a packet pick up option or in the mail.
2025 Road Runners of America Southern Region 10K Championship
The Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) has selected the Bayou City Classic 10K, the only race owned and organized by the volunteers of HARRA, to be the 2025 RRCA Southern Region 10K Championship!
In addition to the Bayou City Classic race awards, Additional RRCA Championship awards will be given in the following categories:
Open male and female, 40+ male and female, 50+ male and female, 60+ male and female, Open wheelchair athlete male and female
