Stay tuned for other fun possibilities!

Vendors Participating: Bex Threads, Confetees, Richmond Family Chiropractor, Jack and James, Burn Boot Camp, Learning with Brii, Splash and Dash, Agape Juice Bar, Buff City Soaps, Poplicious Cake Sicles, Sourdough Robbellion, and possibly more!

The Walk with Walker started as a Walk FOR Walker while our son was in the hospital. We received so much love and support through it that truly touched our family. Walker was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and goes to 3 hours of therapy 3 days a week. His therapy center has helped Walker meet many milestones. Our weekly routine looks very similar to a lot of those with children of disabilities, and it has become abundantly clear how hard it is to battle insurance for the amount of therapy needed. For example, an allotted amount of 30- 60 sessions/days of physical therapy for the year should suffice for a muscle injury, but if you have a disability, that does not come close to enough. Therapy sessions can start at $125. It adds up fast, but the need remains the same. This affects the livelihood and independence of children. Early intervention is crucial for the best chance of success, but many cannot afford to continue to pay out of pocket.

The therapy center Walker attends treats children of various disabilities from all over the Houston area. They has helped a countless number of children achieve their goals over those years. My son is able to walk, communicate, and support with his weaker arm now thanks to them, and I want to help provide the same opportunity for success for other children. The proceeds will go directly to the center.
