The Houston Heights Boulevard Blitz
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the City of Houston Mayor's Office of Special Events (MOSE) has decided to further delay the process of obtaining a Special Event's Permit which is required to host a fun run (or any special event) within the City of Houston until after July 1st, 2021. With this decision in mind, the HHA has decided to postpone the Boulevard Blitz Fun Run until Saturday September 18th, 2021!
Hybrid In- Person & Virtual 5K,10K and Kids 1K Race

Event Location: Marmion Park. 1800 Heights Boulevard. Houston TX 77008
Get out to enjoy the summer weather in our wonderful neighborhood and support the Houston Heights Association in it's first EVER hybrid event! Since we all need to remain mindful of social distancing and keeping our community safe, the annual Fun Run will be hybrid with an In-Person AND Virtual option!
The IN PERSON option will be mindfully spaced out with multiple starting waves and limited people/wave. This will be done ON race day on the Boulevard with the option of a 10K run, 5K walk or run, or a Kids 1K.
The VIRTUAL option can be done from time of registration up until race day on any trail that you choose! Virtual participants are able to submit their race from time of their registration of event until race day and can be submitted in portions.

6:00AM - Last minute packet pick up @ Marmion
7:00AM - Pre-Race Stretching begins @ Starting Line hosted by a Special Guest!
7:30AM - Wave 1 for Competitive Events 5K, 10K Run begins @ Starting Line
8:30AM - Wave 1 for 1K/5K Walk begins @ Starting Line
9:00AM - After Party Starts @ Marmion with LIVE music !

For the In-Person Option, the Boulevard will be closed to passing traffic with patrolling constables.
1K Route: Starts at Marmion Park (18th Street), continues & turns around at 15th Street, and Stops at Marmion
5K Route: Starts at Marmion Park (18th Street), continues & turns around at 5th Street, and Stops at Marmion
10K Route: is the 5K Route TWICE

All registered participants will receive an official Boulevard Blitz shirt.

Friday, September 17th - 3PM - to 6PM
Start times of each event are subject to change based upon how many people register to the event since we are limiting persons per wave start. Start times will be communicated as early as possible and will only be moved later than posted (not earlier).
You will be assigned your wave AFTER registration closes via email with estimated Start Time. You can also find your Wave # and Time at Packet Pick Up. Please do not crowd starting line until it is time for your Wave to start.
Awards will be handed out at the After-Party at Marmion Park starting at 10AM. Those who can not attend the award ceremony can pick up up their award at the Fire House on a following date (to be released).
Awards will be given to Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female Finishers in each competitive race (5K / 10K Run).
After Party Information:
Post-Race, we will have a mindfully spaced After-Party at Marmion Park with local community vendors/sponsors- more details to come!

The HHA is working incredibly hard and diligently on ensuring this race will happen at the advertised location. However, due to the current status of Special Permits for the City of Houston who are not allowing ANYONE to currently have a permit - location MAY be moved. Rest assured the Fun Run WILL happen but we are modifying and updating constantly. We will give you as much notice as possible IF a race location change does happen. We appreciate your cooperation and patience with us during this challenging and unknown time.
