Description:
The Fruitcake Relay at the Blizzard Run is a pre-race event for 3-person teams. The race will take place at 2:45pm, just prior to the start of the Blizzard Run.THE FRUITCAKE RELAY IS ABSOLUTELY FREE (but team members must be signed up to run the Blizzard Run).The course will be 3 loops around Hampton Station for a total distance of roughly one mile. Each team member will run ONE LOOP. Instead of a baton, team members will carry and exchange a one pound Claxton fruitcake. Winning teams in each division will get a nice gift card to share, and losing teams will get...a fruitcake! We will have 3 race divisions:
- Male Open Division
- Female Open Division
- Family Open Division
How to Sign Up:
The Fruitcake Relay is limited to 4 teams in each division, since that's all the fruitcakes the race director can afford. Enter your team by clicking on the link below:
Relay registration will close on December 17th at midnight. We will notify the team captains by email on December 18th, so they"ll know they're team is "in the race".
