Equipment

Shoes and appropriate running attire. Event organizers are not responsible for any belongings left at race sites.

 

 

Directions

From downtown Whitefish, head North on Baker Avenue over the viaduct. Turn left on Edgewood and head to City Beach.

 

 

The Course

The race start is just East of the parking lot on Lakeside Blvd. Run up and over hill on Skyles and turn right on Dakota Ave. Follow Dakota all the way through Edgewood onto pedestrian trail turning right and following train tracks. Turn left to go under train tracks and follow bike path all the way to Baker Ave. Turn left on Baker Ave staying on pedestrian trail over the via duct and continuing on Wisconsin Ave until turning left on Labrie Dr just after where the bike trail would continue on the opposite side of road. Run on Laurie and turn left on Dakota Ave and then right on Skyles up and over the short steep hill to finish at the arch on Lakeside Blvd.

 

 

Parking

There will be no parking at City Beach. Please use neighborhood streets and walk to venue. There will be a temporary loading area to drop off boats and bikes.

 

 

Pre-race Meeting

There will be a pre-race meeting at 6:30 AM at City Beach for all competitors. The meeting will provide participants with the most up-to-date information on the race course and a review of all safety precautions. IT IS MANDATORY FOR All PARTICIPANTS TO ATTEND THIS MEETING. The buses leave at 7am and The Glacier Challenge begins with the 8 mile run leg at 7:30 AM.

 

 

Timing

It is important for all participants to have their race bib visible for timekeepers to see. The timing chip is afixed to the bib so the bib needs to be visible on the front of your shirt. Do not crumple the bib. You should only cross a timing mat when finishing a leg.
