Frequently Asked Questions
When is the award ceremony?
We don't have an award ceremony. Pick up your award from the Yellowstone Rim Runner tent (near the finish line) before you leave the race. To check if you're a winner, you can look up your results on this website, at the timing kiosk, or you can sign-up to have your results texted or emailed to you when you sign up for the race. In 2025, the top three male and female finishers in 5-year age groups win an award. Also, the overall top male and female finisher will win free shoes from Time Out Sports! Awards will be based on chip times. All awards must be picked up at the race.
Do you really require an ID for the beer garden? How many beers can I have?
Yes, bring your ID with you! We are required to ID every person entering the beer garden, even if you are clearly over 21. No ID, no entry, no exceptions. Our beer garden has a two beer limit.
T-Shirts: Are you sold out of my size? Can I change sizes? If I can't come to packet pickup, can you just ship it to me?
If you register before the T-Shirt deadline posted on our homepage, you will be guaranteed a shirt in your selected size. After that, T-shirt availability will be limited to stock on hand and we may sell out of your size. If T-shirt sizes are sold out, it will be indicated when you register for the race. In that event, you can select 'oops, out of inventory' for no shirt or you can select a different size, if available.
T-shirts will be handed out at packet pickup with your bib. T-shirts are forfeited if they are not claimed during packet pickup; we will not ship nor hold them for later pickup. We cannot exchange sizes of T-shirts at packet pickup because they are typically all reserved for other participants.
In the event that people do not claim their T-shirts, we will put them out at the Yellowstone Rim Runner tent after the race. If T-shirts were sold out when you registered, you may take one. You may also exchange sizes (unworn shirts only please). Please note, this is usually very few shirts.
T-shirts are only for 5K participants; the free kids run does not have a T-shirt.
Are dogs allowed at the race?
No. We love dogs too, but we ask that you please leave dogs at home whether you are a runner or spectator.
My kid might get off track on the kids run, can I go with them?
Yes, please! Parents are encouraged to run with their kids if needed for support, encouragement or safety. The Kids Run starts after the 5K is finished (~2 p.m.), so you will be done running your 5K if you'd like to run with your child.
