Frequently Asked Questions
5K Race & Registration
Shirts available while supplies last.
T-shirts will be handed out at packet pickup with your bib. We cannot exchange sizes of T-shirts at packet pickup because they are reserved for other participants. T-shirts are forfeited if they are not claimed during packet pickup; we will not ship nor hold them for later pickup.
T-shirts are only for 5K participants; the free kids run does not have a T-shirt.
No. Pets are not allowed at the race, whether you are a runner or spectator. Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are allowed.
The top 3 in each age group receive awards. To check if you're a winner, you can look up your results on this website, at the timing kiosk, or you can sign-up to have your results texted or emailed to you when you sign up for the race.
We don't have an award ceremony. Pick up your award from the Yellowstone Rim Runner tent (near the finish line) before you leave the race. Awards are forfeited if not claimed at the race.
Yes, bring your ID with you! We are required to ID every person entering the beer garden, even if you are clearly over 21. No ID, no entry, no exceptions. Our beer garden has a two beer limit.
Our main packet pickup is the day before the race, see Packet Pickup details. Although we do host race day packet pickup, it is very limited and you must arrive early to get your bib in time. We've seen more and more folks show up close to the race start time on Sunday hoping to get their bib. It is a chip start, but, that's cutting it too close!
Kids Fun Run (free, untimed)
Yes, parents are encouraged to run with their kids if needed for support, encouragement or safety. The Kids Run starts after the 5K is finished (~2 p.m.), so you will be done running your 5K if you'd like to run with your child.
The Kids Fun Run starts near the 5K finish (just up the hill). We start the kids race AFTER the 5K is finished. This is usually close to 2 pm.
No, the free Kid's Fun Run does not include a shirt.
Yes, the kids receive a ribbon at the finish and a snack.
