We delayed the Shamrock Run to the fall in the hope that we could race together. After much consideration, we have decided that the Shamrock Run will be virtual to provide a safe racing environment for everyone. We structured the virtual event to give you maximum flexibility for when and where you can run. So pick a fun course and find a day with great fall weather, then have fun racing! Don't forget to pick up your Shamrock Run pint glass too.
Run anytime you like from September 18 through October 18, 2020.
You can run any course that works best for you. Please run the course length that you registered for: 5K or 10K.
Upload your results to RunSignup via the Results tab at the top of this page. The deadline to report your time is October 19, 2020. An email will be sent to all participants after all race times have been posted.
Get your Shamrock Run pint glass! You can pick them up at any of the following three Yellowstone Rim Runner Wednesday night club runs. We'll have swag available from 5:45 to 7:30 pm and if your schedule allows, please join us for the club run/walk. SNACKS too!
Your race entry to the Shamrock Run is also your annual membership to the Yellowstone Rim Runners, the Billings area running club. Your membership includes many benefits including weekly club runs, a free summer race series, many running social events, and running related discounts throughout the year. We'll keep you in the know with our social media and monthly newsletter. Rim Runners also give back to the community and promote running through our club funds and donating our time.

In 2020, the Shamrock Run is virtual, so you can run anywhere! Choose any 5K or 10K course that you like.
If you are interested in running the traditional course, here are the routes. The 10K is two loops of the 5K course. Both the 5K and 10K start at Avenue B and 3rd St West. Head north to Parkhill and then run west. Just before 13th St West, turn around and head back to Pioneer Park. 5K runners will enter the park on the path just north of Daylis Stadium and finish in the park. 10K runners will not enter the park until the finish. 10K runners will continue on 3rd St W approximately halfway between Avenue B and Grand Ave. Turn around and repeat the course. On your second lap, enter the park and head for the same finish line as the 5K runners.
