When and where can I pick up my bib, t-shirt, and check-in for the race?
Race check-in and packet pick-up will be offered on Wednesday, November 22nd from 7AM-6PM at 500 S Green River Road Evansville, IN 47715 inside the GoodSkills Academy at Evansville Goodwill’s Headquarters.
Are long-sleeve shirts available?
Yes, for an additional cost of $12 you can get a long-sleeve shirt.
Where is the start/finish line?
The start/finish line will be located in Downtown Evansville. You can view the course map on the race info page.
What are the prizes for the top runners?
Awards are available for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female runners in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & up.
Where can I park on race day?
Free and paid parking is available throughout Downtown Evansville including in the Old National Events back 40 lot located at 1000-1098 Walnut St, Evansville, IN 47713 and in parking garages throughout downtown. Due to the route of the 5K, the parking garages on Locust St may not be available.
Are dogs allowed to walk/run with me at the event?
Although we would love to see your furry friends on Thanksgiving Day, the city does not allow for dogs to participate in this run/walk event.
What is the refund policy?
Due to the amount of people that register every year, we are not able to offer refunds for this race.
I signed up as a family with 6 people or more, but the discount did not show up at checkout.
The family discount for people registering with 6 people or more provides a refund after checkout. Check your credit/debit card account a few days after checkout to ensure you receive the refund!
What organization does this race benefit?
This race is Evansville Goodwill’s biggest fundraiser of the year. By registering for the Turkey Day 5k, you are helping us break down barriers to employment by supporting our programs.
Are there any discounts offered during this year’s race?
Yes! If you use your Fifth Third Bank card, you will receive a $5.30 discount on your race registration.
How will I receive updates about this event?
You will receive emails from Evansville Goodwill with more updates on the race including information about packet pick-up and more!
Are there other ways I can get involved in the Turkey Day 5k?
Yes! We are looking for volunteers to assist with packet pick-up on Wednesday, November 22nd from 7AM-1PM or 1PM-7PM and to help with tasks on the day of the race from 6:30AM-10AM on Thanksgiving Morning.
