President Barack Obama signed the bill awarding Fil-Am soldiers who served in WW II the Congressional Gold Medal. The Congressional Gold Medal is the highest civilian honor in the US. In accordance with Public Law No: 114-265, a gold medal has been struck to honor the Fil-Am veterans of WW II in recognition of their valiant service.
