And we're keeping it real.
We want you to test yourself in the hot, humid, end-of-the-day conditions that you all love with the Cul-de-sac 5Ks.
You'll run or walk your three 5Ks (3.1 miles) on Monday evenings (July 6, July 13, & July 20) between 7 and 9 PM.
Just like at Cul-de-sac, you'll know that you're not doing this race alone. Your fellow runners and walkers will be doing their 5K in the same conditions that same evening. Yes, you can do your 5K with a small group, just maintain that 6-feet spacing.
Donate at least $5.00 and you'll get a $5.00 discount on your registration fee.
For $7.00 for a RRRC member ($10.00 for non-members) per race plus processing fee, you can register for the Phase 2 and/or the Phase 3 5Ks.
You can still:
You won't be eligible for any finisher awards or other awards.
For a total of $30.00 out-of-pocket, a RRRC member will have:
If you finish and submit your times for all three 5Ks, you'll be eligible for:
For a total of $40.50 out-of-pocket, a non-member will have:
If you finish and submit your times for all three 5Ks, you'll be eligible for:
You must post your finishing time between Monday @ 7:20 PM and Tuesday @ noon for each race.
To submit your finishing time, you may click the link in the reminder email or visit the race's Results page and click Submit Virtual Results. You'll receive a reminder email about submitting results on Monday evening and another reminder email on Tuesday morning.
Top Finisher Awards
There will be a to-be-determined number of top finisher awards. To be eligible for any of the top finisher awards, the runner must submit times for three runs that:
Before the finisher award determinations are finalized, the scorer may request a runner's documentation of the run date, start time, distance, and run duration. Documentation can be an activity post on Strava, RunGo, etc. or a screen shot of the information.
Note: These rules apply only to anyone being considered for a top finisher award. We're not going to be double-checking everyone's run dates, hours, times, and distances. We just hope you join in the spirit of running together as a club and running community on Monday evenings in July.
Just like with the Cul-de-sac 5Ks, the race director may change the requirements for running any of the Coro-na-sac 5K races.
If there are severe weather conditions in the Richmond area or if the dew point is projected to be 80°F or above at the designated start time, the race director may extend or otherwise alter the window for completing your 5K run or walk. Registered participants will receive an email announcing any changes before 7:00 PM on race day, including any changes to the window of time for submitting finishing times.
