Join your fellow runners and walkers in the 17th annual running of the RRRC Cul-de-sac 5K Series, presented by Tri-Ad Chiropractic. Test yourself on the same fast course on one, two or all three of these always hot, frequently challenging Monday evening races.

Only able to make 2 races? Registering for the 3-race series still is the best deal!
The 5K (3.1 mile) course, a mostly flat, fast loop on Wyndham neighborhood streets, challenges you with 3 cul-de-sacs early in the race.
The race is run on open streets monitored by course marshals and with traffic controlled by Henrico County Police. Follow their direction and watch for car/truck traffic.
This is a road race conducted under the rules of USATF and RRCA. In consideration of the safety of all participants, the following are not allowed on the course during the race: baby joggers, baby strollers, animals, skateboards, inline or roller skates, and bicycles. The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, RRRC encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of the Cul-de-sac 5K races.
Please do not warm up or cool down in the middle of the streets.
Runners must be 8 years of age or older to participate in this hot weather 3-race series. Runners who are 8-9 years of age must be accompanied for the entire race by a parent, guardian or coach, who is registered for and running each race in the series.

The series competition for this year’s Cul-de-sac 5K Series is designed to encourage competitive running and racing for place among runners in 5-year age-groups over this 3-race series.
Age-group placement for the series competition is based on the runner’s age on July 2, 2018.
For each 5K race, points will be awarded to all finishers in each age-group. The top 9 finishers in each age-group will receive points as follows:
Runners must run and finish all three 5K races to be eligible for awards based on the series competition points. The three (3) runners with the highest point totals in each 5-year age-group will receive awards at the closing awards ceremony on July 18. Any point ties for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place within each age-group will be resolved by assigning higher standing to the runner with the lower (faster) cumulative chip times for the three races.
Click on your age group to see the points and place in the overall series competition. Click link for "include event details" to see the points and place for each of the three races.
The race director and the series competition scorer reserve the right to revise these rules in the case of race cancellation or postponement based on severe weather or other unexpected circumstances.
