Your Lynchburg Turkey Trot – Your Way. We believe in the importance of traditions and the power of resilience. This year, we are thrilled to once again offer both an in-person run on Thanksgiving Day and a virtual option that brings the fun right to your doorstep! Join the festivities, spread holiday cheer, and strengthen community spirit from anywhere.
Together we will share our LOVE for Lynchburg – our neighbors, our families, and our community as a whole. Join us this Thanksgiving to celebrate all we have to be thankful for and help a neighbor in need.
The Lynchburg Turkey Trot is more than a tradition – every registration feeds TWO families a Thanksgiving meal. HumanKind is still seeing high needs as families are striving to get back on their feet. There is no doubt in our mind that this Thanksgiving is an important time to help families in need.
Here’s how it works...Register and choose to be in-person or virtual, get your gear mailed to you or at the drive-thru packet pick up, join us on Thanksgiving morning or select a day of your choice to run or walk on a course of your choosing or treadmill, use our race app to keep track, submit your results to be added to the virtual leaderboard, and don’t forget to wear your turkey swag!

STROLLERS / PETS
On our Lynchburg course in-person -- strollers are welcome! We ask that you leave your furry friends at home. Please do NOT bring your pets to our in-person event.
For all virtual participants, strollers are of course allowed and BONUS -- you can participate with your favorite furry friend!
T-SHIRTS
Event T-shirts come in adult unisex sizing and youth sizing options. Shirts are guaranteed to those that register on or before November 14. Registrations received November 15 through race day will have shirts available on a first-come basis at packet pick-up. Race shirt reveal coming soon! FINISHER MEDALS
Finisher Medals will be given to all who register for the 2024 Lynchburg Turkey Trot.
Packet Pick-Up
Drive Thru Packet Pickup Prior to Race Day
Participants are encouraged to pickup their event packet prior to race day at one of the two packet pick up dates below. Stay tuned for more details as event day approaches.
Location: HumanKind Campus, 1903 HumanKind Way, Lynchburg, VA 24503. Entrance from VES Road ONLY, all other entrances are permanently closed.

You can also choose to have your packet mailed to you during registration for an additional fee of $15 per address.
Race packets will be shipped starting the week of 11/4/24. In order to guarantee receiving race items by the start of race week you must be registered for the race by 11/17/24. All shipping requests received after 11/17/24 will ship during the week of 12/9/24.
ATTENTION:
NO RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP. PACKETS, BIB NUMBERS, AND REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE ON RACE DAY 11/23.
"IN-PERSON" REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP MUST BE COMPLETED NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY 11/22.
Parking
There are several parking options for the Lynchburg Turkey Trot -- please make sure you know which parking lots will be CLOSED for the duration of the race and which ones will be open. Due to road closures, the parking lots that fall inside the course will not open until the police department reopens the roads at 9:30 AM. THANKS TO SUPPORTIVE LOCAL BUSINESSES, WE HAVE GREAT PARKING OPTIONS FOR 2024!
