More Than a Race
This race exists because when we come together, we create something powerful—a celebration of community, generosity, and the unwavering support for neighbors in need. Everyone can join in, individually or with your favorite flock; in-person or virtually. You can run, walk, or TROT and make a difference in your community all year long.
Did you know?
The race was originally started in 1988 by Don Lucy who grew up at the Presbyterian Homes (now known as HumanKind) as a way to give back and help raise funds and awareness for individuals, children, and families across Virginia.
